Friday, 28 January 2011, mass protests in Cairo, Suez, Alexandria and Luxor

Today, the internet is shut down in Egypt (and someone said on Twitter: „If your government shuts down the internet, so shut down your government“), and also it got reported that the SMS service is not working.

Hundreds of thousands of people are on the streets of Cairo, Suez and Alexandria, yet alone in Luxor around 15.000. The army took position on the streets, and the headquarter building of the ruling party of Mubarak is burning.

When scrolling down, one can see videos of the mass demonstrations on CNN here.

And here you can read about the Egypt protest leaflets distributed in Cairo giving blueprint for mass action.

Dictators must go
